A Brief History

The Association of Rotational Moulders of Southern Africa (ARMSA) was started in 1992 by a small group of Rotational Moulders who saw the need to increase the demand, as well as consumption of rotationally moulded products.

Ever since, the Association has grown to a membership basis of over 50 and includes members worldwide.

The main objective of ARMSA is to assist the industry in setting standards and improving the quality of rotationally moulded products. This will ensure that the industry regulates within governing bodies, increase awareness of this unique process and ultimately promote higher consumption.

Educational objectives are also very high on ARMSA’s priority list. Education is not limited to the day to day consumer, but also to current Rotational Moulders. This ensures that South Africa remains on the edge of leading technology, setting benchmarks for international counterparts.

ARMSA hosts the yearly Student Design Awards. Students are given the opportunity to design products specifically for Rotational Moulding. This award is presented at the annual Rotation Conference, a must for any individual interested in Rotational Moulding. Presented by ARMSA, this conference is attended by delegates worldwide. It host international speakers on relevant topics and gives a chance for any current or future Rotational Moulder to broaden their horizons.

ARMSA’s goals are clear: protect the industry, ensure quality and promote Rotational Moulding within a competitive market. The benefits from being a part of such a dynamic association is endless and in an ever-changing environment, a must.

An added benefit to ARMSA members is that they receive free subscription to the leading international magazine – Rotoworld – as well as the leading local plastics magazine – SA Plastics.
